Artist’s Bio

Throughout Matthew's lifelong journey as a performer, singer/songwriter and instrumentalist, he's cultivated an extraordinary versatility, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of influences. It all began 34 years ago when he picked up the guitar at the age of 11. Tracy Chapman and the lyrical depth of Eddie Vedder further shaped his writing style, while the guitar virtuosity of Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, and Stevie Ray Vaughan influenced his playing technique and enabled him to transcend genres.

By the age of 12, Matthew had penned his inaugural song, fueled by the creative fire ignited by these musical luminaries. Since then, his repertoire has flourished to encompass around 30 instruments, with six mastered to a professional level. With over 130 original compositions to his credit, many of which have been immortalized in studio recordings or captured live, his musical odyssey has been nothing short of prolific. He has graced the stage in excess of 2000 times, weaving his melodies in various bands, some of which enjoyed national tours and airplay on mainstream radio stations.

He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as Journey, 38 Special, Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, Gold Finger, The Urge, The Drifters, Warrant, and Sammy Hagar Band - just to name a few.

This rich tapestry of experiences serves as Matthew's offering to connect with audiences on a profound level. With each performance, he brings forth not just skill, but a wealth of encounters and collaborations that have sculpted his artistry into an experience that resonates deeply with all who listen.
